Tal como é anunciado na página oficial da Land Rover foi atingido o marco histórico da construção do modelo Defender número 2.000.000 (2 milhões)!
Para o efeito a Land Rover convidou alguma individualidades que, como embaixadores da marca, ajudaram e participaram na assemblagem e construção de tão icónico modelo.
O Defender 2.000.000 será exposto e leiloado em Londres no próximo dia 16 de Dezembro de 2015 e o valor da venda reverterá a favor da IFRC - International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies e também da Born Free Foundation.

FROM PRODUCTION TO AUCTION, THE ‘DEFENDER 2,000,000’ JOURNEY
"Land Rover ambassadors and well-known fans of Defender visited the Solihull production line to help build the ‘Defender 2,000,000’. This one-of-a-kind Defender, designed by our Special Vehicle Operations team, has unique features and will be the star attraction at an auction held at Bonhams, London on 16th December, 2015. Funds from the sale of this vehicle will go to Land Rover supported charities, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Born Free Foundation."
